We’re back with Chapter 2 of Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone! In The Vanishing Glass, we meet the ten-year-old Harry living with the Dursleys, celebrate Dudley’s birthday at the zoo, and get our first real glimpse of Harry’s magical abilities.

In this episode, we talk about the Dursleys, Harry’s accidental magic, the differences between the book and the movie, and some of the details we hope the upcoming HBO series includes. We also make a few theories of our own, get distracted by British ice cream terminology, and try to figure out exactly who some of the mysterious people Harry encounters might be.

And, of course, we spin the wheel for another round of Bertie Bott’s Every Flavor Beans.

Want to read along with us? Join the Inside Quotes Book Club on Discord! This is where we’re continuing the conversation between episodes, sharing theories, talking about our favorite moments, and hearing what you think as we make our way through the book. Whether you’re reading it for the first time or revisiting an old favorite, we’d love to have you in the club. Head to @InsideQuotesCast on Instagram and use the link in our bio to join the Discord and read along with us!

Next week, we’ll be reading Chapter 3, The Letters from No One.

Until then, read some books.

Welcome to the very first episode of the Inside Quotes Book Club!

We're starting where it all began with Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone, reading through the book chapter by chapter as we get ready for the upcoming TV series.

In this episode, we're talking all about Chapter 1: The Boy Who Lived. We revisit the Dursleys, Dumbledore and McGonagall's late-night meeting, Hagrid's motorcycle delivery, and all the little details we forgot from the book. We also compare some of the moments to the movies and talk about what we're hoping the new series will finally bring to the screen.

Plus, we kick off a brand-new tradition: Anything Off the Trolley Dears?, where we spin the wheel of wizarding candies and discover that some flavors are significantly worse than others.

Whether you've read the books a dozen times, only know Harry Potter from the movies, or you're reading along with us for the first time, come hang out and join the conversation.

Next up: Chapter 2, The Vanishing Glass.

Follow @InsideQuotesCast on Instagram and join our Discord to talk about each chapter with us!

Avast, mateys! We're finally tackling Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl, and this time we brought in someone who actually worked on the Pirates of the Caribbean ride at Disneyland.

Kyle Forsyth joins us to take us behind the scenes of one of Disney's most iconic attractions, from how the ride actually operates to what it's like working backstage at Disneyland. He shares some seriously wild ride secrets, including how Cast Members can see you in the dark, how ride operators rotate through different positions, what it was like working on Galaxy's Edge, and why Pirates is one of the best places to work at Disneyland.

We break down Jack Sparrow, Barbossa, Elizabeth Swann, the Black Pearl, the iconic score, the movie's incredible sets and locations, and why Curse of the Black Pearl somehow managed to turn a Disney theme park attraction into a genuinely great blockbuster. We also put it through the IQ Test to find out whether it earns its place as a Staple, Stapleist, or Quack.

Plus: Gary Sinise's eyeliner, the world's most confusing Jack Sparrow impression, Kyle's ongoing war against Jar Jar Binks, and a whole lot of pirate nonsense.

T-minus zero seconds... we're going to Mars! 🚀

This week on Inside Quotes, we're taking on Mission to Mars (2000), the giant-budget Disney space movie that neither of us got to experience a kids. Jonathan wanted to see it after seeing the trailer and spotting Gary Sinise, but Mom checked the movie on ScreenIt and said NOPE. Twenty-six years later, we finally found out what she was protecting us from.

We're also digging into the bizarre history of the Mission to Mars Disney attraction, figuring out how a theme park simulator became a feature film, and trying to understand why Disney made a movie about a ride that had already closed years earlier.

Welcome to Inside Quotes, where we rewatch, review, and relive the staples of our childhood... even when we probably shouldn't.

Episode 150 is here! And we're celebrating with a very special guest: Jonathan's wife, Kelsey Jones!

This week, we're heading back to one of Disney's most beloved animated classics, Beauty and the Beast! We put the 1991 animated film to the IQ Test to see if this tale as old as time is truly a STAPLE... or if it's actually a QUACK.

But that's not all! We recently had the incredible opportunity to attend a special screening of the film with director Gary Trousdale, who gave us some fascinating behind-the-scenes insight into the making of Beauty and the Beast. And yes, we even got to meet him and ask him some questions!

So grab your teacups, avoid the West Wing, and join us for our 150th episode of Inside Quotes!

Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious! This week on Inside Quotes, we’re taking a trip to 17 Cherry Tree Lane to revisit Disney’s Mary Poppins! We discuss the classic 1964 film, its unforgettable songs, characters, and whether the magic still holds up today. But this episode is a little more personal, because Jeremy recently took the stage as George Banks in a community theatre production of Mary Poppins! So we’re also diving into the stage musical, comparing it to the movie, and talking about what it was like to bring one of Disney’s most iconic dads to life. Practically perfect in every way? We’ll see about that.
